Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: May 13, 2026
Current status: no active affiliate partnerships
CompareDev intends to participate in affiliate programs for the dev tools it reviews. As of today, no affiliate partnership has been approved. All outbound product links on this site are currently non-commercial referrals.
This page will be updated within 7 days of any partnership being approved, listing the partner name and the date the relationship started.
How this will work once partnerships are active
When affiliate partnerships become active, CompareDev will follow these rules:
- Every affiliate link will carry the HTML attribute
rel="sponsored nofollow"so search engines and readers can identify it as paid. - Every individual review will include the disclosure inline, near the first affiliate link in that post.
- This page will list every active partnership with the date it started.
How affiliate links will affect reviews
They will not. The verdict in every review is based on real testing — at least two weeks of side-by-side use on production work. Specifically:
- Recommendations are based on testing, not commission rates.
- When a previously recommended tool regresses, the review is updated even if the partnership is still active.
- “Review for review,” “sponsored placement,” and similar paid arrangements are not accepted.
If a review ever reads like an advertisement, please email and it will be corrected or removed.
Why this page exists
The FTC requires disclosure for U.S. readers. The EU’s Digital Services Act requires it for EU readers. Brazil’s LGPD also covers transparency in commercial relationships. Beyond legal compliance — CompareDev’s value depends entirely on trust, and hiding affiliate relationships would destroy that.
